Start your unforgettable trip by visiting the forts of Oman in the morning from Muscat, considered the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.
Start watching the splendid view of the mountains while your guide drives through the desert road to Nizwa, located in the Al Dakhiliyah region of Oman ( 1 hour and 30 minutes from Muscat ).
The first stop will be before Nizwa, at a Small village named Birkat Al Mawz, where there will be an opportunity to walk through the plantation of Palm trees and small streets with old surrounded houses.
Then continue to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman in the medieval era, now considered from the main cities in Oman. Explore the traditional local market, Known as Nizwa Souq complex, famous for its crafts; it is an excellent opportunity to buy Omani Souvenirs and use your art of bargaining. Inside the complex is a huge fort named Nizwa fort, one of the principal Omani forts. There will be a stop photo in front of this unique fort in Oman, famous for its large circular tower, decorated outside with weapons used in the 17th century.
The next stop will be at the largest and biggest fort, known as Bahla fort. Bahla fort is One of the historical fortresses, considered the only UNESCO-listed fort in Oman, far about 40 Kilometer from Nizwa fort, near Jebel Akhdar; built hundreds of years ago and reopened in 2012 after massive restoration as it was damaged by erosion before. Explore this gigantic structure with its watchtowers, mosques, and wells.
Now will proceed to another historic landmark fort, known as Jabreen fort( Jabrin castle ), about 10 kilometres from Bahla fort. Jabreen fort, built by Imam Bil rab Bin Sultan, ruled from 1679 to 1692 after the Portuguese era. The fort was constructed to be a palace (Bayt ) for the Imam; then, it was used as a fort for military purposes. The tomb of the Imam is still there as he was buried onsite; this heritage fort was also used as a school for learning Omani people. Watch its fabulous interior design; from the Top towers, you can overview the surrounding villages, considered a particular spot for any photographer.
After you visit the principal Oman forts, we will start to drive back to Muscat.

What to know before you book Oman forts trip?
*Due to the nature of the weather, recommended to bring sunblock and hats before any Oman tours.
* According to the ministry of tourism, visiting hours to forts and castles in Oman are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
* Early pick-up time, 8:00 AM or before, is recommended.
* Photos are allowed in forts and castles, but according to Omani and Arabian traditions, Taking a photo of women is not acceptable. It is polite if you ask men before.
